HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH CAREER IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Academy of Learning has introduced several new programs to complement its well established business-oriented diplomas and certificates. These choices give students a wide variety of options for their future career. Students should determine where their aptitudes and capabilities are and then meet with a college representative to discuss alternative program options. Students can then select the field that will satisfy their interests and allow them to achieve their personal goals.

HOW OFTEN DO PROGRAMS START?

Enrolment for any traditional Academy Integrated Learning System program is continuous for individual courses.
Diploma and Certificate programs start each Monday.

Some specialized programs may require lead time to ensure that all materials are available.


Start dates for EI, WSIB and other Government funded entities are worked out with counsellors and workers for the earliest available time.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY COURSES?

Courses may be paid for on an individual basis or by pre-payment of the total amount of the selected program.
Provincial financial assistance may be available to qualified students via the MTCU or WSIB to help with the cost of tuition.

WHAT ARE THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS?

Admission requirements include a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent or Mature Student status.
A satisfactory command of the English language and the ability to work with the Integrated Learning System are necessary.
Additional requirements "pre-requisites" may be necessary for certain specialized programs.

All applicants must attend an initial interview process and receive a positive recommendation from the College Director.
Foreign students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents must obtain a Study Permit with their Visitor Visa from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

I WORK PART-TIME. ARE THE COURSE HOURS FLEXIBLE?

Academy of Learning's Integrated Learning System gives students the freedom to customize their schedules to suit other factors in their lives. Flextime scheduling allows each individual to choose the most convenient times to learn within the 42 available hours each week. This allows your to schedule your life and learning in a manner that suits you.
Our College is open Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm.
Your personal workstation is availabe during college hours of operation.
